Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat baking mat. Whisk flour to break up any lumps then add in the cookie dough. Either by hand or with an electric mixer, combine dough and flour on low speed until well incorporated. Using a rolling pin, roll dough to ¼ inch thickness.

Add some water to the icing, a teaspoon at a time, until you get a consistency of glue, something that slowly flows. Spoon some icing up and then allow it to drizzle down onto the icing in the bowl. The drizzle should stay on top and then melt back into the surface after two or three seconds.


Instructions. Combine ingredients in mixing bowl and mix on low speed, scraping sides of bowl as necessary, until icing is smooth and glossy, about 5 min. Thin icing by adding more lemon juice or water 1 tablespoon at a time to create desired consistency.


After following above instructions, take a portion of icing and put in a separate bowl. Slowly add water (about 1 tbsp at a time) and mix with spoon until fully incorporated. Pull mixing spoon up and drizzle icing over itself in bowl until it takes 10-12 seconds for drizzle to flatten back into icing completely.

Directions. Place flour, baking powder and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk together until well combined. Set aside. Use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and thoroughly combine. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients.


My quick royal icing requires 3 simple ingredients: 1) light corn syrup. 2) powdered sugar. 3) vanilla extract. Ok, and 4) warm water. But…. Hardly an "ingredient.". Because this royal icing is made with corn syrup, it's not ideal for piping flowers and intricate pieces to adorn your cakes and cupcakes.
